The Nurses’ Ministry aids during the Worship Service, as needed, with minor injuries and emergencies. The members of this ministry are trained to provide limited first aid. They also maintain a health suite where to accommodate members who require special attention. This ministry is responsible for maintaining open communication channels to community health facilities to ensure that the proper medical assistance can be obtained in case of emergencies.
Ms. Gwendolyn Taylor, Coordinator
The Hospitality Ministry warmly welcomes all visitors and members to church. They are first to introduce the mission and purpose of the ministry of Christ and are often called upon to serve in other areas of ministry such as dining and hosts and hostesses for other church activities.
Dr. Brenda M. Henderson, Coordinator
While all of us are missionaries, this group specifically evangelizes and spread the Gospel through intercessory prayer, visitation, scripture reading, food distribution, educational workshops, and donations. This ministry extends faithful service to the sick and shut-in, incarcerated individuals, seniors, and those in need, locally and around the world.
Mrs. Bernice Diggs, Licensed Provider, Coordinator
The Nursery provides a place of care and nurture for children ages birth through ten years old. Because we affirm that all children are a gift from God and that they depend upon adults for safety and security, the nursery is a place where children are both loved and cared for physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Because we believe that Christian education and nurture are a joint venture between parents and the church, the nursery is a place where parents are welcome and feel confident leaving their children while they attend worship, Church Sunday School, or other church activities.
Mrs. LeRai Hebron, Coordinator
The Ushers of Central are dedicated servants of God who serve as doorkeepers of the house of God for all Worship Services and other special events held in the Sanctuary. Their goal is to bridge the gap between the visitors and the members by meeting all those who enter with warmth and love. The Usher Ministry is excited about meeting the needs of all those involved in the Worship Service or other gatherings.
