The Family Life Ministry seeks to strengthen, inspire hope, and bring healing to families through the knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and in keeping with Gospel values and principles. The Family Life Ministry encompasses the following ministries:

Cub & Boy Scouts

Deacon Clifton Sherrod, Scout Master

Everything in Cub and Boy Scouting is designed to have boys doing things. Activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting—citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness. Many of the activities happen right in the den and pack. The most important are the weekly den meetings and the monthly pack meetings. Scouting gives boys a sense of belonging. Mrs. Myra Staples, Coordinator

We believe that God has given us gifts to use to reach our community and world for Jesus Christ. Through music, drama, short video, and dance, God’s truth can be expressed in a powerful way. There are several opportunities to serve for persons of all ages during major presentations, ministry support, community outreach, script writing, and stage and prop management. Serve God in a most incredible way. Join today!

Rev. Kendall R. Shoats, Coordinator

Here, the ministry seeks to meet the spiritual needs of the men in the church, community, workplace, and home, through prayer and fellowship and to help men realize their spiritual gifts through consistent programs of Bible study. Men are challenged to understand the need for becoming witnesses for Christ and great male role models for children, youth, and young adults.

Mrs. Angela N. Tates, Coordinator

The ministry offers opportunities for women to grow spiritually, serve faithfully, and strengthen their love of Christ, the church, and one another. The ministry allows women to bond in sisterhood through activities that enrich their lives and the communities they reside in. This ministry continually encourages every young woman of the church and community and endeavors to sponsor activities that bring about genuine freedom from the unholy bondages that typically plague women.
