In-Person Giving
Giving is an act of worship. We accept tithes and offerings, gifts, donations, and contributions as part of every worship service or whenever you’re on our premises. You can give by cash, check, money order, or a major debit or credit card. Electronic card readers are also available for you to swipe your debit or credit card.
For cash, checks, and money orders, please use an offering or other envelope completed with your name, address, the amount of your contribution, your contact phone number, and how your donation should be applied.

Mail-In Giving
When travel, illness, or other circumstances prevent you from attending services or giving electronically, we can continue receiving your contributions on an uninterrupted basis by mail. Please indicate how your contribution should be applied and mail your check or money order to:

In-Kind Gifts
Gifts-in-kind, also referred to as in-kind donations, is a type of charitable giving in which, instead of giving money to buy needed goods and services, the goods and services themselves are given. In-kind donations are also known as non-cash donations. In the church setting, these donations could be things like a new computer for the church admin, a new soundboard for the worship center, a check-in printer for the children’s ministry, an electrician that fixes a circuit breaker for free, and more!
If you would like to make an in-kind donation, please contact us to let us know.
Examples of In-Kind Donations include:
- Furniture
- Building Supplies
- Computers
Examples of In-kind Service Donations include:
- A plumber fixes a faucet for free.
- A handyman fixes a hole in a wall at no cost.
- A web developer offers to build a new free website.

Why Leave a Legacy?
For more than 100 years The Central Baptist Church of Baltimore City has served to strengthen the Christian witness of countless believers in Baltimore and around the world. Beyond the promise of the Lord’s eventual and glorious return we cannot predict the needs of our church or its ministries in the years and decades to come – whether it’s a special opportunity for evangelism, the need to serve in a time of crisis or the challenge of new and unique ministries. Whatever God has planned for us, we want to be prepared with resources to meet the needs, touch lives, and bring men, women, and children to a personal relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ.
How Do I Participate?
We receive gifts from bequests provided in individuals’ wills or through gifts made possible by various trust arrangements, retirement plans, and life insurance. Individuals may give a designated gift to The Central Baptist Church in memory or honor of friends and family. Gifts are treated as an endowment and the earnings on invested gifts are eligible to be distributed each year. To learn more about planned giving, contact us to schedule an appointment.
