Our Humble Beginnings...

900 Block of Eutaw Street

In 1957, a Baltimore City economic development project forced the church to move again. A few months prior, God called Rev. Dr. Montague J. Brackett to serve as pastor of the church and on November 11, 1957, we marched into the building at our present location, 2031 West Baltimore StreetDespite our humble and uncertain beginning, God rewarded our faithfulness and richly blessed the church with continued growth and success overwhelming from this time forward.
In 1979, God blessed us to open our Christian Education Center, containing offices, classrooms, and a Multi-Purpose Center, to enable us to enhance and further Christian education in our community.

Again, God's blessings were upon us. In 1985, we opened our Gift of Love Center to provide food and clothing to homeless and low-income individuals and families within our church and community.

Moving forward...

We are headed forward! We continue "moving forward together," practicing broad-based and informed decision-making that actively seeks input from all participants, making adjustments to meet the needs of an ever-changing world, and developing governance structures that seek to be responsible, flexible, nimble, and fearless.

Our mission remains unchanged. Go ye therefore...-Matthew 28:19-20.
